Film makers choose Taunton Gardens and Jack's Cottage for their upcoming film "A Dream of Dark Colours" based on the Novel "The Trial" by Chech author Franz Kafka.
Christhurch film Director/Producer, Shaun Garea and award winning Artist, Keith Morant have chosen Jack's Cottage and Taunton Gardens to be one of their film locations because of it's unique yesteryear character and charm set in beautiful gardens. Shaun said, "We travelled around the South Island of New Zealand looking for locations of great beauty and aesthetics, and discovered we had it all right here in and around Christchurch. Jack's Cottage in Governors Bay is "The Icing on the Cake".
The Pilot film will be presented along with Morant's Art Exhibition at Bryce Gallery, Riccarton on August 16th, 2009. After the show Keith Morant is taking the presentation with him to Vancouver, Manhattan, and Ferrara hoping to "create a bit of a buzz".
